Basic plan

I want to build an off-grid, movable, solar-powered station for LoRa based mesh networking and ADS-B receiving.

Functional requirements

The system should be able to:

  • Receive and decode 1090MHz ADS-B signals
  • Send and Receive 868MHz LoRa Signals for Mesh networking
  • Be maintainable from a remote position

Raspberry Pi Zero 2, for running dump1090 and remote firmware updating

Waveshare LTE Hat, cellular service

2x LoRa Radio, One for meshcore, one for meshtastic

Charge manager

Battery, lead-acid for lower maintaince
